Established in 1993 as a simple partnership among El-Fil family members, Fimalco began with the visionary leadership of the late Mahmoud El-Fil. The latter who passed away in 2021, transitioned from his role as an accountant in a major wood trading company to a self-employed businessman due to his open-mindedness and entrepreneurial spirit. The company’s inception involved importing latex gloves for medical use. Recognizing the potential demand for this product in Lebanon, where dentists were not yet familiar with using medical gloves, Fimalco found success in introducing this innovative solution to the market. Consequently, Mahmoud expanded the business to include dental products, materials, and tools in response to requests from his dentist clients. Over the years, Fimalco experienced substantial growth, prompting the acquisition of a small office and warehouse in Beirut.
